A youth pastor once told me
You don’t need to search for a guy or run after a guy. That’s not how you find him. All you gotta do is aim for God and start running. Soon, you’ll notice someone else running beside you, maybe even faster than you. That’s who you’ll want to go for.
haha oh man.
today.

So, this email turned into a Poem.
I feel like we’ve gone somewhere, each, individually. And that’s left behind this gap from where we can no longer lead. Not that we can’t, but that it just.. doesn’t quite work as well.
And maybe this is me, because I am coming from my own place of something lonely and hurt and not by you but by my own head, but I miss you and our friendship and our partnership we...

I’m a little worried about my heart reaction to this.

Serious though,
i’m dying right now.
that unexpected message just made my heart do funny things.
Also: Lisa K. and Sarah C. filling my house with infectious laughter, Michael filling it with food, and some other favorites filling it with music for our Lord, is a pretty solid way to spend a Thursday night.
tonight at church.
Scott: So, Posey’s back in full form.
Me: I know! So stoked.
Scott: I’m not. I hate you guys. I’m so pissed.
Kristen: *turns around to us and thinks about joining conversation* *decides against it, turning away muttering* Oh, nevermind, seminary stuff.
Me and Scott: …
Cuz, you know, Giants-Padres fan smack is the equivalent to Bethel student gab...

sad/amusing fact:
When someone says “my [relative, friend, ex, pet, etc…] lives in Phoenix,” my first thought is “can I crash on their couch when I up and drive out to spring training??” Even when said speaker is gorgeous (seriously, he’s beautiful, physically, spiritually and just freaking generally) friend who is telling me about their family. I think this is unhealthy.
I may have a favorite new satirical website.
Look at how the liberal cat tries to control you with its eyes, but beware.
“Like most other websites popular among strange liberal druggies, at its core, it is a cult. Tumblr is headed by groups of New York gays and nerds, and the head honchos seem to really like cats. You can’t have a moral website with cats, that’s an inherent contradiction. However, cats are extremely persuasive and...
Things I appreciate/am looking forward to:
both the Post-College/Career and College ministries at Flood are taking Valentines Day to have sex-related enrichments (also known as the-fact-that-my-church-doesn’t-think-sex-is-a-bad-word). I hope we do speed dating as a gather activity on Tuesday. lol
Actually. We’re having TWO sex/relationship-based enrichments at the Hub this month. We’re all thoroughly amused.
Is it possible for a massage to make a person more tense? Yes, yes, in fact, apparently it is.
Fantastic night that ended super strangely.
But in general, I love Fugees+Creative Arts Group. We’re a rather fantastic match.

Get it girl. This is amazing. This is a Victoria’s Secret model I can admire.
I actually really love this article. Solid rational and thinking woman who discovered that something she had really coveted and sought after clashed with her faith and took the time to seek out what the Bible said and how her spirit responded and then do something about it, not only for herself...

When I deny being the crazy cat lady,
I need to remember that I frequently allow/ask my cats to make relational decisions for me.
slash
use who they do or do not like as a vetting mechanism.
Getting into Keats’ heart is the key; being disliked by Ruu is the biggest deal breaker.

Today I received a box of boxes of after-eight mints, an alehouse t-shirt (plus bomb pizza and beer), TWO awesome star wars gifts (an X-Wing moleskin and darthmaul chopsticks!), a Dietrich Bonhoeffer book, and the lolcat bible. NOT TO MENTION AN AMAZING SURPRISE PARTY (at which I got to see almost all of my favorite people, actually talk to my estranged neighbors, and lose two games of...
